Easy and Simple Way to Recover Your RedMi 1 Phone (After being stuck up from system update)

Hi fellow Redmi users,

Greetings!

For the past few days, I have been trying to find ways online on how I can get back to normal my Redmi 1 phone after it's been stuck when I made a system update. (showing just the Mi logo and didn't open anymore afterwards)

I search and read a lot of threads in which some topics were mostly for Redmi 1s but still found some few threads for Redmi 1. I had followed the suggested tips with both phone on how I can recover and place it back to normal but sadly didn't find any help and was unsuccessful.

This morning, I tried to do it myself and surprisingly it was successful. :) I have been thinking of this solution actually beforehand but I just don't want to lose my data so still I was trying to figure out on how I can recover it by searching and reading helpful tips online.

The solution I found myself is very much easier and simple compared to those suggested tips I had read online added the many stuff you need to do, download and follow (like roms, mi-flash tool, minimal ADB and fastboot, mt6577 usb vcom drivers, etc). For those who had the same problem like mine, I'm sure you're familiar with these terms as like me, you also tried to find solutions yourself.

I have also tried to download the Mi PC Suite thinking that it will solve my phone's problem, I will tell you, it will not as others suggested online. It will not successfully connect unless you're phone is back to normal like mine which I tried afterwards and it worked finally!

So I want to share this tips to those who's phones are having a problem after system update:
NOTE: All data will be deleted and your phone will be in a new condition state just like when it was bought... But you still have the options to recover your data just read the simple steps.

SCENE:
You were notified by your phone that there's a new update, so you pressed system update and after the update has been completed it will restart and then voila you were waiting to see your wallpaper but ended up stuck on the Mi logo screen...

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

This does not require that you connect your Redmi phone on the PC, no need for that. You just need to do it on your phone...

1. Pressed both POWER KEY and VOLUME DOWN at the same time.

2. Choose RECOVERY MODE from the given options.

3. Afterwards you will see the next option, just CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE.
NOTE: Select by pressing UP and DOWN VOLUME and the POWER KEY to choose...

3. Then choose WIPE AND RESET from the given options. (By the way, I have tried to choose update.zip first as I was still trying to save my data, I have copied an update.zip files online which I placed on my SD Card but was unsuccessful. You can try this out first if you don't want to lose any data but provided you have downloaded the right file for the update.zip or if you have the options to backup user data better do so...

4. After you choose Wipe and Reset, you will see the given options. First thing to do is to select WIPE CACHE then you will be ask to confirm with the selection before proceeding...

5. After selecting wipe cache, proceed to the next option and choose WIPE USER DATA.

6. After selecting the wipe user data, just select BACK TO MAIN MENU then choose REBOOT which is the last thing that you are going to do then your phone will restart afterwards and you will see the Mi logo again, it will take a few minutes but not that long so wait patiently

7. That's it, your Redmi phone just got back to normal and you're ready to use it again. :)

Hope that helps! Just want to share this to those who were having a hard time trying to have their Redmi phone back to life as I myself had tried those different options I have read online but nothing had worked for me. I even thought of buying a new phone actually as I can't really bring back my phone to normal state  (of course, another Redmi one again as I love this phone so much). Glad that through this simple steps, it worked and had save me from buying a new one!

NOTE:
By the way, after you successfully recover your Redmi phone, don't forget to install the Google Installer to have access on Google Play as well as the internet. Just copy it on you SD Card then from your File Explorer, open and install it from there... You can get it from the link below:
